On October 9 2010, the Foundation held the Blue Moon Bark Ball, the Jersey Shore’s first black-tie optional gala for people and their pooches at Ocean Place Resort in Long Branch, NJ. The event honored Grace, a German Shepherd rescued and rehabilitated by Dick Palazzo, and inspiration for the Foundation’s first Canine Award.
